The Brown County AgriLife Extension Service will hold a Brush Control Tour on Monday evening, May 20, and it’s open to anyone interested. There will be a $10 registration fee payable on site.
Tour participants will meet by 6:00 pm at the intersection of Highway 183 North and FM 2273 which is about 13 miles north of Heartland Mall towards Rising Star. They will then travel a short distance to the brush tour site.
The tour will include review of some of the latest research plots on controlling underbrush, mesquite control efforts and pasture weed control. There will be a discussion on range/pasture herbicide, tank mixes and applications. Two (2) CEU credits will be offered to licensed pesticide applicators.
