Brown County Sheriff’s Report for March 25th

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 12:31 am, Deputy Simpson initiated a traffic stop at the 7100 Block of Highway 279.  This was on a white Ford 150, displaying Texas LP, for speeding.  Upon making contact with a female suspect, an open container was located beside her left leg in the driver door.  Deputy Simpson had the woman perform the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.  She was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to the Brown County Jail, after a blood specimen was taken at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

On Saturday, March 23, 2019, Deputy Simpson responded to the Brownwood Regional Medical Center ER.  This was in regards to an animal bit at 1700 hours.  The man advised he was bitten by a tom cat which he and a neighbor take care of.  A report was made.

On 3/24/19 Cpl. Fletcher stopped a white Ford pickup for speeding on Highway 279.  The driver, a man from Abilene, admitted to having marijuana in the truck.  He was arrested for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 ounces.  This was after a marijuana cigarette, weighing 1.2 grams, was found in the vehicle.

On March 24, 2019, at approximately 2109 hours, Deputy Rodriguez was dispatched to handle a call by phone about terroristic threat.  A report was made.
