A 24-year-old male was killed in a one-vehicle accident Monday in Callahan County. At approximately 2 p.m. Feb. 11, 1.6 miles east of Putnam in Callahan County, Bryce Mikal McClerkin of Arlington, who was driving a 2007 GMC pickup, lost control on the wet road while traveling west on IH-20. McClerkin was attempting to pass another vehicle, when he struck a guard rail and sign.

The vehicle rolled over and the driver was ejected. Preliminary reports by the Texas Department of Public Safety stated McClerkin was not wearing a seat belt. The crash is still under investigation.
