Howard Payne University is among several local and area educational institutions benefitting from $88,000 in scholarship funds TexasBank has gifted this year through the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation. In addition to HPU, which received $25,000, institutions benefitting from these funds include Tarleton State University and Texas State Technical College Regents Circle.

Additional scholarships totaling $33,000 have been gifted to graduating high school students from Brown, Comanche, Eastland and Erath Counties.
