TexasBank has given $88,000 in scholarship funds in 2018 through the James and Dorothy Doss Foundation to local schools in the communities that TexasBank serves. Thursday morning, local high school students from Bangs, Brownwood, Blanket, Brookesmith, Early, May, and Zephyr, were honored with a reception and presentation of scholarship certificates. Each student will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the college or trade school of their choice. Institutions benefiting from these scholarship funds include Howard Payne University – $25,000; Tarleton State University – $25,000; Texas State Technical College Regents Circle – $5,000; with additional scholarships totaling $33,000 being gifted to students graduating from Brown, Comanche, Eastland and Erath Counties.
