The Brownwood Art Association invites the public to a special preview of their small art sale as part of their First Thursday monthly reception. The Art Center will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. this Thursday, December 7. There is no cost to attend the reception. The preview will show art pieces available for purchase during the annual chili lunch fundraiser to be held the following day.

Members of the art association have donated paintings and photographs for purchase to benefit the association’s work in the community. The lunch and small painting sale will be this Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Art Center, located at 215 Fisk. Tickets are $5 each and are available at ASAP Creative Arts inside House of Wheels as well as from association members. This event is a major fundraiser for the association. Money raised helps the association encourage art in the community through a range of activities and classes.
