While on an unrelated call, Brownwood Police Officers observed a theft taking place at 401 W. Commerce. Three female subjects were detained and stolen items were located. During the inventory of the items stolen and paid for, five mugs were located with fictitious bar codes. Melissa Urquia, Sandra Garza and Patricia Louise Saldana were arrested for organized retail theft greater than or equal to $100, less than $750, a class B misdemeanor. The women were also charged with fraudulent destruction, removal and concealment.
During the search, the subjects were found with pills, methamphetamine, meth pipe and marijuana. Saldana was charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 1, less than one gram, state jail felony, for the methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, less than two ounces and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Urquia was charged with possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3, less than 28 grams, class A misdemeanor for hydrocodone bitartrate 325 mg/7.5 mg and possession of a controlled substance, penalty group 3, less than 28 grams, class A misdemeanor for the Acetaminophine/codeine 300 mg/60 mg, weighing one gram.

• Selena Rodriguez was arrested for possession of marijuana
• Ashley Diaz was arrested for assault causes bodily injury – family violence
