While on patrol Thursday, a Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to the 2500 block of Avenue D. The officer met with a witness and a suspect identified as Stewart Reynolds. An investigation showed Stewart was intoxicated in a public place and a danger to himself and others. Steward was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Brown County Jail.

• An officer took a report for harassment in the 2600 block of Temple
• Officers were dispatched to a south Brownwood residence regarding theft.
Incidents involving the sheriff’s office:
• A deputy initiated a traffic stop on CR 234. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Christopher Lee Taylor. After further Investigation, a search clause was granted from Taylor’s probation officer and a total weight of 7.72 grams, with plastic bags, of methamphetamine was found in the vehicle. Taylor was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1, 4g > < 200g, 2nd Degree Felony.
