A Brownwood Police Officer was dispatched to a car wash in the 1700 block of Indian Creek Monday regarding vandalism. The owner, Chad Benton, showed the officer that a storage room door had recently been vandalized with black spray paint. The surveillance video showed at 6:15 p.m. Monday, two teenagers walked into the parking lot. The video showed a female suspect handing a male suspect a can of spray paint. The male is then observed spray painting the storage room door, while the female appears to be acting as a lookout.

After spray painting the door, the two walk away from the business. The male is described as Caucasian with red bushy hair, black hat, sunglasses and blue pants. The female is described as Caucasian, red hair with a gray sweater and dark skinny jeans. The officer did not recognize the two subjects. After speaking with other officers, a possible suspect was named.

Benton estimated the damage at approximately $50. Benton requested criminal charges be filed.

In other incidents:

• A BPD officer responded to the 1000 block of Avenue I in reference to violation of a protective order. Casey Durant was arrested for violation of a protective order. Durant was transported to the Brown County Jail.

• Buford Whited was arrested for driving while intoxicated, 3rd or more, in the 800 block of Center Avenue.

• Jeffery Shane Gober Hamill was arrested for driving a vehicle when license is required and failure to maintain financial responsibility.

• A BPD officer was dispatched to the 2100 block of Temple in reference to a burglary of a residence. A Playstation and controller were taken during the burglary. Two suspects have been identified and a report has been completed.
