Brown County residents who are need of assistance during this Christmas season can come to Grand Starz to sign up for help, courtesy of the Toys for Kids program. Parents need to bring the children’s Social Security cards and a personal ID. Registration will be from 10 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays from November 6th thru the 22nd.
They will also be open November 27th thru December 13th, Monday thru Friday. Distribution Day will be December 16th. On Distribution Day, the parents will come to the warehouse at an assigned time. With the help of an ELF they will go in Santa’s Workshop and pick out the toys for their children. The toys can then be wrapped by one of the many Santa Helpers. All 500-plus families will come on Dec 16 to get toys at no charge.
Toys for Kids is asking for approximately 200 volunteers to dedicate a little time to ensure smiling faces on Christmas morning. To volunteer, call 646-6822 and let the staff know what hours will be available from on December 16th from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.
