Aggravated assault with deadly weapon leads to 15 year sentence

District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding. Those sentenced were:

Steven Michael Pringle pled no contest to two separate felony offenses of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division, in each case.

Melissa Kay Curtis aka Melissa Kay Grear pled guilty to the felony offense of Forgery and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Vanessa Yvette Gonzales, pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Gonzales, on probation for the felony offenses of Sexual Assault and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was revoked and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Brandon Horton pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Horton pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Burglary of a Building and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Shelley Denise Trowbridge pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
