At approximately noon Wednesday, officers with the Brownwood Police Department were attempting to serve a warrant in the 500 block of 7th St. The arrest warrant was for 26 year old Robert Lynch. Lynch fled the scene on foot and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. Lynch was last seen in the area of 2nd St. near the Howard Payne University football field wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.
Lynch is being sought by the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Pardon and Parole. Lynch was originally convicted of carrying a prohibited weapon. Cash rewards through Heart of Texas Crime Stoppers are offered for information that leads to the arrest of wanted subjects.
BPD said this is not a dire or “armed and dangerous” situation. As of Thursday morning, Lynch had not been apprehended.
