The National Weather Service has announced that Lake Brownwood has leveled off at just over 1428 feet and will slowly begin to go down. The Pecan Bayou has not yet crested. It is currently at 12.85 feet, and predicted to crest at 14 feet just after sundown this evening. Flood stage for the Pecan Bayou is 15 feet. At 14 feet, there will likely be more water in Riverside Park and CC Woodson around the bridge.
Currently there is no flooding, except in Riverside and Fabis Parks, which will remain closed until the water recedes and the parks can be cleaned. It is anticipated they will open Monday afternoon.
