Doris Parker Hughes, 98, passed away March 25, 2020 in Amarillo, Texas.  Doris, the youngest of four children, was born October 6, 1921, in Brownwood, Texas to William “Willie” Louis Parker and Carrie Una Gilley of Early.

She is survived by Linda Hughes Croft of Houston, Texas; Donlee Hughes (Kathy) of Harper, Texas; and Janice Hughes Newton (W.J. “Wib”) of Amarillo, Texas; grandchildren Aimee Smitherman (Eric) of Chula Vista, California; Daniel Croft of Houston, Texas; Jared Newton of Amarillo, Texas; and Colton Newton of Austin, Texas.

A private graveside service will be held March 29, 2020 with burial in Jenkins Springs Cemetery in Early, Texas.  Services conducted by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
