Rebecca “Beckey” Dean Smith, 67, passed away surrounded by her loved ones January 12, 2019.

Beckey was born to M.E. “Buck” and Annie Faye Foster in Gorman, Tx., November 3, 1951. She graduated high school, went to Vocational school and became a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She worked as an LVN in many capacities for over thirty years. Beckey married Vernon Smith February 15, 1980 and was blessed with more than 38 years of marriage. Beckey raised a son and daughter which she was very involved with and absolutely loved her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed spending time with family, horses and playing cards with friends. Beckey attended the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in May, Tx.

Beckey is survived by her beloved husband, Vernon Smith; daughter, Rachel and husband Josh Beal of May, TX; son, Robert and wife Lisa Darley of Brownwood, TX; sisters, Martha Overstreet of Gorman, TX, Pam and husband Ron Childers of Gorman, TX; 7 grandchildren, Stephanie and Jared Janecek, Kabrynn and Breanna Darley, Landon, Brandon and Cadon Beal; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Beckey was preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial Service will be at the May First Baptist Church Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to be made at a charity of your choice in her name.
