Yasmin H. Wilkinson, MD, Obstetrics and Gynecology physician at Brownwood Women’s Clinic was recently chosen as the Physician of the 2nd Quarter 2018 by the staff of Brownwood Regional Medical Center (BRMC). She is an Active Medical Staff member that was nominated and voted on by the BRMC staff for not only for being a vital team member but also for her dedication and quality care provided to her patients.
Dr. Wilkinson joined the Brownwood Women’s Clinic in September 2016. The office is located at 98 South Park Drive. When asked why she chose Obstetrics Gynecology, Wilkinson stated, “I felt that taking care of women was my calling. From adolescence through childbearing, to menopause and beyond, women are simply amazing! I may deliver a baby in the morning; see patients experiencing pelvic pain and menopausal symptoms in clinic; perform a hysterectomy at lunch and do minor procedures in the afternoon – my day is never boring and no two are the same. It has been my honor to care for the women of Brown County and the surrounding areas for the past two years.”
She has been a member of the Brownwood Regional Medical Center Active Medical Staff since 2016 and currently serves on the Surgery Peer Committee. She completed her undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University and her Graduate degree at University of North Texas Health Science Center (Masters) and Texas A&M University School of Medicine. Wilkinson completed her Residency at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. She her husband Daniel moved to the Brownwood area shortly after completing her residency. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Daniel and their young son, Hayes along with their family including three donkeys, six horses, two mini-donkeys and two cows.
Brownwood Women’s Clinic was recently recognized as “Best of Brown County”; she, Dr. Daniel Stewart and staff were very honored to be chosen by the community.
