Cary Cheshire, leader of the Capitol Bureau for Empower Texans & Texas Scorecard, will be the guest speaker at The Pecan Valley Republican Women’s monthly meeting this evening.

The organization is encouraging members of the community to attend. The event will begin at 6 p.m. in the parish hall of the Church of the Good Shepherd, located at 1800 Good Shepherd Dr. The hall will open at 5:45, and light refreshments will be served. Cheshire will be speaking on what happened during the most recent legislative session and what to expect in the special session, recently called by Governor Greg Abbott.

Time allowing, questions about the legislature sessions will be allowed.
