Suicidal man helped by sheriff’s deputies, BRMC staff

Corporal Taylor Fletcher with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department responded to the home of another deputy after a report of a man appeared asking for help. The subject was voluntarily transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center where he later became uncooperative with emergency room staff, but was later sedated. Additional information from the Brownwood Police Department showed the subject has a history of dangerous behavior.
In other incidents:
• A deputy was dispatched to County Road 180 to issue a criminal trespass warning against the homeowner’s daughter-in-law.
• A deputy responded to the 8000 block of CR 415 for an abandoned vehicle. The registered owner was unable to be contacted and the vehicle was subsequently towed for being a road hazard.
• A deputy began an investigation into an assault that occurred in the 1000 block of W. Commerce.
• Several items were stolen from a home on Hwy 183 N.
• A deputy responded to a civil matter concerning property left at a former residence being sold by the new resident.
