Sheriff Hill to speak at ‘Family Fun Day’

The Brown County Museum of History would like to invite the public to a Family Fun Day on Saturday, January 21st. The museum focuses this month on the role the Sheriff’s Department has played in keeping our community safe for over 150 years. Sheriff Vance Hill will talk about the importance of internet safety and share tips for what parents and kids need to know about staying safe online in this age of internet predators and cybersecurity. Hill will also be sharing his knowledge of fingerprinting and kids will have the opportunity to explore fingerprints as well as capture their own to put on the emergency ID card each child will have the opportunity to make.

The event will kick off at 11 a.m. with Sheriff Hill in the old jail and will move to the main building at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 per child, which includes all activities and the Kids Zone. Admission for adults will be $3, which will include all exhibits and the old jail. Seniors, military personnel and veterans will be admitted for $2.
