Man arrested inside courthouse for being intoxicated

A deputy with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on a maroon Chevrolet truck in the 7200 block of Hwy 279 after noticing the vehicle had a defective license plate light. Gerald Holloway Jr., Sherry McKinley and Trevor Egger were all arrested for possession of a controlled substance after 0.8 grams of methamphetamine was found hidden inside a glove located in the center console. Holloway was additionally charged with driving with an invalid license, while Egger was charged with possession of 5 grams of marijuana, which was found inside his boot.

A deputy arrived at the Brown County Courthouse regarding public intoxication. Two courthouse deputies and a witness from the probation stated a man arrived at the office intoxicated. Jay Parker Doelling was placed under arrest for public intoxication.

In another incident, a deputy was called to Brownwood Regional Medical Center after a social worker reported that a woman had been assaulted. Interviews were conducted with the woman and her child. Photos were also taken. As of this report, no arrests had been made.
