Hendrick Provider Network has partnered with Texas State Technical College (TSTC) to provide job training using a $110,512 Skills Development Fund grant from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). The grant will benefit workers in the Workforce Solutions of West Central Texas area.
This grant will be used to provide custom training to 66 new and incumbent workers for industry-related topics with focused instruction on advanced coding and auditing, medical office compliance and medical practice security. Trainees will include clinical nursing coordinators, compliance specialists, licensed vocational nurses and practice operations specialists. Upon completion of training, the workers will receive an average hourly wage of $17.89.
TWC Commissioner Representing Labor Julian Alvarez will present a check to representatives from Hendrick Provider Network and TSTC at an 11 a.m. ceremony to be held in the Board Room #125 at TSTC, 650 E. Highway 80 in Abilene.
