Identity stolen, more than $6,700 in fraudulent loans taken out

The following is a list of arrests made recently by deputies with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department

  • Deputy Taylor Fletcher, after performing a traffic stop on a Mazda truck on Belle Plain, arrested Detrick Jomont Henry for driving while intoxicated.
  • On 2/18, Sharmarie Foytik reported some unidentified suspicious persons made contact in their yard. It appeared the suspicious subjects were trying to avoid deputies, who were in the area on an unrelated call. The subjects gave Foytik a ring, which she did not want. The ring was seized as found property and a report was made.
  • Deputy Scotty Burke met with a man at the law enforcement center in reference to an identity theft report. The man said an unknown person(s) had taken out six separate loans using his name and personal information at a “Speedy Cash” location. Total of the loans was more than $6,700.
  • Deputy Jose Rodriguez, was dispatched to Monsey St., in May in regards to a possible animal cruelty case. A deceased horse was found on that property. I took photos and attempted to make contact with the suspect, but no one was at the residence at that time. The complainant demanded to stay anonymous.
  • Deputy Fletcher responded to a disturbance at Highway 183 North in Early. No physical violence had occurred, but Gunner Ray Holster was arrested for public inoxication after walking away from the scene on Highway 183.
