HPU’s Month of Musicianship Recital set for Thursday

Howard Payne University’s Zeta Beta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi will present its Month of Musicianship recital Thursday, November 16, at the university’s Grace Chapel. The concert starts at 6:30 p.m. and is free to the public.

The month of November is National Month of Musicianship for Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band fraternity. This event was created to reflect the organization’s goal of celebrating college music.

“We put on this recital to express our love for music and showcase our chapter members’ musical talents,” said Travis Moraga, Zeta Beta chapter president and senior from Little Elm. “Since Kappa Kappa Psi is a national organization, this Month of Musicianship allows us to show how much music means to us as an organization across the nation.”

HPU’s Zeta Beta chapter sponsors include Corey Ash, associate professor of music, and Dr. Robert Mangrum, professor of history and government.
