District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that two felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding. Those sentenced were:

Derin Fortner pled guilty to the felony offenses of Burglary of a Building, Theft of Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Tabatha Hyles pled no contest to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 18 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
