Father’s Day did not end on a happy note for two male drivers. Officer Andre Smoot discovered two vehicles racing on C.C. Woodson. Both vehicles came to a stop, and at that time, Matthew Bivins and Casey Durant were arrested for racing.

In other incidents involving the Early Police Department:
• A call was received regarding a reckless driver on east Hwy 377 headed toward Early. The officer was unable to locate the vehicle.
• An officer reported to a minor accident at 900 Early Blvd.
• An officer assisted with a disturbance at the Brown County Jail.
• An officer assisted the sheriff’s department regarding a domestic disturbance inside a vehicle on FM 2126 headed toward Hwy 183.
• A report for theft was taken in the 100 block of Early Blvd. after counterfeit money was received.
