A 25-year prison sentenced was given to a Brownwood man this week by Brown County Court-At-Law Judge Sam Moss. Blake Whitehead, 30, was facing two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child and two counts of indecency with a child.

After pleading guilty, Whitehead waived his right to a jury trial. Aside from the prison sentence, Whitehead will be required to register as a sex offender for life.

Brown County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Whitehead in January 2017 on three warrants for sex crimes against minors, who were under the age of 16 at the time the offenses took place.
